Buddy's been getting pretty close to walking.  He'd been walking along the walls and couches for quite awhile but was slow to venture out into the uncharted territory in the middle of the room.  I finally decided to use the time-honored method of standing him up own his own and then getting Nancy to smile at him.  Sure enough Buddy got a big grin on his face and lurched with arms outstretched towards Nancy for his first couple of solo steps:

Now he seems to be walking more and more each day but always with his hands waving madly in the air about chest level.  When we took him outside he didn't seem to like crawling on the grass -- I guess it felt funny on his bare legs.  He ended up doing a sort of crawl-walk spider type of thing on all fours:

After a while he got the hang of things and took a few tentative steps on the grass:

He improves every day and before you know it he'll be toddling around the house like he owns the place.
