Dental Adventures

Anne lost her second tooth tonight.  Actually, I pulled it out for her.  She lost her first tooth in school about a week ago but it got lost in the car.  She said she lost it because another girl bumped into her but the story sounded kind of fishy and we never did find out what really happened.

Preparing to pull...
Preparing to pull...

She was a little skittish at first because she thought it would hurt.  After talking it over with Emily and receiving assurances that it wouldn't hurt she let me pull it out.  This time we were lucky and the tooth stayed in the dental floss after it came out.  With Emily the tooth shot across the room and we had to look under the couch to find it.  You can always spot a kindergartner/first grader because of the missing teeth.  Emily still looks like a jack-o-lantern even though her teeth are starting to grow back in.  I can't wait until Anne finally loses the two top teeth that turned brown after she knocked them out on the stairs.  I definitely CAN wait until the day that I have to pay for braces and other orthodontic work.
