Anne didn't get a friend party this year (the kids only get a "friend party" every other year) but we still had cake and ice cream and presents.

Lori and Bryan and family came over as well as Grandpa Kent and Grandma Connie. Baby Natasha was in good spirits so everyone enjoyed playing with her and admiring her.

Anne wanted a "princess" cake so Nancy found a castle mold and made a "princess castle" with chocolate cake and pink frosting. It's kind of hard to tell it's a castle from the looks of it but at least the frosting was home-made. Store-bought frosting just isn't that good.

Everyone sang happy birthday, Anne blew out the candles, and we all enjoyed Anne's princess castle cake.  Hey, not having a "friend party" isn't all that bad after all!
